Now We're Talking.

Image
It is an amazing feeling when we, as Christians, can gather around and talk. I asked a question; what is that one question if given the platform to ask that you would ask as a Christian.  The responses were beyond fantastic. Today, a delectable writer, Miss Onah Ishioma Adaeze, will be joining me to take this segment of the Q&A. Let's get right into it. I think one I reason is do kids stand before the judgement throne? Like when does that start? Would a mean 7 year old kid go to hell? Victorious: Rev 20:12 KJV. "And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God; and the books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works." Berean Study Bible translates "according to their works" as "according to their deeds." Deed is an action performed intentionally and consciously.  According to the scriptur...

Two Years and Counting.

Image
I'll start with a huge thank you to all my readers and followers. The feeling is heartwarming and overwhelming. I'm grateful to as many people who encouraged me, cheered me on, and supported me in diverse ways. I've faced my own fair share of trials, struggles and learning process and I keep learning on a daily basis. I'm also grateful to those who tried to make me second guess myself. I'm grateful to those who laughed and said I was wasting my time. I'm grateful to those who mocked or ridiculed my steps. I can't thank just those who were there for me without thanking those who weren't.  I'm thankful to those who threw blocks. I'm more than grateful to God for turning those stumbling blocks to stepping stones. I'm a work in progress and I'm grateful to God for every high and low, every fall and every height attained. I appreciate the comments, prayers and messages that has been sent for the past two years. In ev...

Your Right, His Right.

Image
I've learnt overtime that we, as humans, have our rights.  This cuts across all aspect of our lives. Right to vote and be voted for. Right to good education. Right to freedom of speech. Right to be respected. Right to your own things. Right to freedom of thoughts.  Right to freedom of expression. Right to public assembly. Right to food and shelter. Right to social security and so many others. All of which are pretty good and somewhat essential, but in it all, I've also learnt that, some rights have to go. Right to defend yourself from opposers.  Right to treat others the way they treat you. Right to make people know that you can fight for yourself. Right to revenge or avenge. Exodus 14:14 "The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still." It's painful to let others 'get away' with their perceptions of you, or assumptions. It's hurtful when your actions are misread and shredd...

Happy Easter.

Image
Quick, quick, quick, before the chicken start rolling in, and the melodious voices start to string a note. I wish ya'll a fabulous Easter celebration.  Let's do well to be grateful for the resurrection of Christ and to praise his name for the privilege to serve him and spread his gospel. We are witnesses of Christ's loving-kindness and tender mercies. We should always be filled with joy and gladness every single day of our lives and not just on that specific day set aside in April for Easter. Praise God in your struggles, setbacks, anxieties, fear, tribulation, e.t.c., because through the resurrection of Christ, Christ took it all, broke the chains of sin and triumphed.  So chill and savour the day, you are the son/daughter of the Resurrected King.  Nothing is bigger than your Father. John 11:25-26: "Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by b...

Long Time No Post.

Image
It has indeed been a long time since I shared a piece of myself with my blog readers through posting, sharing and obviously, disturbing ya'll till ya'll check out the blog posts. Definitely a lot has happened. So many things I've learnt and grown out of. In it all, I'm grateful. We all have amazing value adding talents that God has embedded in us and we also have amazing jobs that we do. Some people talents align with their jobs. While some don't, like mine. Nevertheless, this shouldn't be an excuse not to still utilize all that's embedded in us. I gave full attention to the blog when I had things under my control,I.e. everything i had to do was within my comfort zone but now that it isn't, it then dawned on me that I was on the verge of using my job as an excuse not to give my talent full expression. So I'm here. Doing what I love and adding value with the help of God and also making my readers know that our jobs, occupati...

IRRESPECTIVE

Image
366 days!!! I'm ecstatic for what is to come and grateful for all that has happened.  I'm certain that we are grateful that we've got air in our lungs and blood pumping and coursing through our veins. The plans are already rolling out for the new year; that car, house, degree, job, vacation(oh how I dream), increase in salary, new designs to take on the world, and so many other laid out plans for the next 366 days. Oh it's good to have desires and wants. Our Daddy already knows that we have desires and wants and so He tells us to 'cast all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you' 1Pet 5:7. As we make plans and take on the new year, let's also have the mindset of serving God IRRESPECTIVE. Serving God irrespective is an attitude that seeks to praise and serve Him no matter the situation. An 'irrespective' service is a service that doesn't relent or diminish no matter the circumstances or struggles faced and that is ...

Scooping Out The Essence

Image
YOLO!! You Only Live Once. This is a rather famous saying.  It is used (if not) by hundreds (scratch that) millions of people on a daily basis.  We use it when we want to have (little) fun, get a new job, or as motivation to spend more than the usual, and also for other purposes known only to the particular individual and circumstance.  We all want the amazing pleasures, i.e, exquisite meals, money, power, attention and so many other things, but then we miss the main point - DIFFERENCE.       Anyone with determination, dogged focus, and some lil extra can have the same achievements and even more than a basic rich human being, but what makes the difference is ESSENCE.  What is your essence?, i.e, your inherent nature of being alive, what were you made to solely achieve and engrave on earth? GOD, I interpret that as Go Out Daily.  We are in this world to solely go out daily, irrespective of where you work, we go out of our blank, un...
