BLINK

Image
We really, sometimes, don't want to process how fleeting life is. We make use of our lives and opportunities like we have some reserved somewhere else. I almost witnessed an accident and I can still remember how I felt seeing the lady under the bus.  I couldn't begin to imagine what was going through her mind as students and some passers-by tried to raise the bus, in order to rescue her. A lot of persons have died that way and more have died in lesser ways than that. We really don't ever reflect, all we do or say something like " wow, she has gone, this life ehn ".  We sympathise with them and move on with our lives, not getting any lesson but just doing the norm; lamentation. Things that are life threatening and even near death experiences are meant to shake us and make us take life seriously, knowing fully well that we would all give an account of our lives. We busy ourselves with desires and wants of life, forgetting our mandate on earth and

MISTAKENLY CORRECT

Image
There are diverse interpretation to the word: mistake.  (Noun: an action or an opinion that is not correct). Proverbs 14:12; There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. Isaiah 5:20; Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Christians are definitely always wrong in the sight of those outside the fold of Christ, they are laughed at and told "you don't know what you are talking about". They are made to feel like they are preaching what's wrong and obviously words that are unwanted.  We are told constantly of our 'false' teachings and how our utterances are mistakes. Not being listened to by unbelievers takes some getting use to, and with time we are meant to understand beyond unbelievers that we will be misunderstood and told all sorts of things about our faith and root in Chri

GRATEFUL + ATTITUDE = GRATITUDE

Image
There is a word formation process called BLENDING and I implemented into today's post(not an English class, don't run away). Having a grateful attitude is always needed in order for us to achieve, within ourselves, the certainty that God is able.  Being grateful does not only include bagging success. It's also implemented in time of difficulties.   Being able to still say "Lord, I'm grateful for the ablilty to try, I'm grateful that I am alive to even partake in this internship/interview/examination etc, irrespective of what I face, I know that you are able because you'll never leave me neither will you forsake me".  THAT'S GRATEFULNESS WITH THE RIGHT ATTITUDE. I went for a prison outreach on a Saturday, and I discovered that 'gratitude' is an attitude that isn't restricted to environment.  The inmates danced and praised God irrespective of their situations and predicaments.  Some might never leave there, but they a

Convivial

Image
Definition: cheerful and friendly in atmosphere or character, (sociable). We, humans, tend to judge (conclude) on a person based on how we 'vibe' with the person. So if you don't get the 'laughing and wanting to continue the convo' kind of person, then the person doesn't meet to standards (for some persons).  It differs for different individuals. The point remains that we, as Christians, are meant to see beyond the mere 'vibe,' and search inward, through the Holy Spirit. You ask a lady why she's dating Mr A and she gives you the reply 'because he makes me laugh'. He should make you laugh, quite alright, but that shouldn't be the basis or foundation of your relationship with an individual.  We need the Holy Spirit to help us discern the right route to take. The devil obviously got comfortable with Eve before luring her into sin which caused man's downfall.  We, as Christians, should look beyond the appearance an
