Now We're Talking.

It is an amazing feeling when we, as Christians, can gather around and talk.

I asked a question; what is that one question if given the platform to ask that you would ask as a Christian.

The responses were beyond fantastic.

Today, a delectable writer, Miss Onah Ishioma Adaeze, will be joining me to take this segment of the Q&A.

Let's get right into it.

I think one I reason is do kids stand before the judgement throne? Like when does that start? Would a mean 7 year old kid go to hell?

Victorious: Rev 20:12 KJV.
"And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God; and the books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works."

Berean Study Bible translates "according to their works" as "according to their deeds."

Deed is an action performed intentionally and consciously.

According to the scriptures, I do believe that Children do stand before the judgement throne.

From the explanation of what deed stands for, children face the judgement throne when they begin to take out actions that are performed intentionally or consciously.

Deuteronomy 4:9 & 10b KJV.

"Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons' sons;

10b Gather me the people together, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall live upon the earth, and that they may teach their children."

Deuteronomy 6:5-7 KJV

" And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:

7 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up."

These verses prove that we have a part to play in making sure that we teach our children according to the word of God so that as they grow, they would be able to know, from the teachings given to them by their parents, how Christ expects us to behave and live.

This enables and create the awareness in them that as they grow, they become accountable for their deeds

How is it possible for a Christian to go through a whole day without being indicted for Sin

Victorious: It is very possible.

It takes a lot of work and consciousness on the part of the believer.

Our thoughts, words and activities play a role in our daily lives so we have to be careful what we do, say, and act.

Prov 5-6  "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."

This summarizes how possible it is to go a whole day without being indicted for sin.

Why do the youths struggle in serving God, focusing more on the things of the world?

Victorious: It is because we are not totally letting go of self.

We want to enjoy the comfort of not putting in so much effort to live right.

It is so easy to do what is comfortable.

To do what seems easy and to do what you don't have to be conscious of on a daily basis.

That is why we struggle in serving God.

We would rather focus more on the things of the world because it is done with no striving or efforts necessary.

I think it'd be knowing God's will for my life, and I know it's to praise Him. But beyond that, I'll like to know how to be sure a person is making the right decisions. Thank you.

Victorious: I love what my lovely Pastor's Wife, Mrs Chukwudimma, constantly state "know how God speaks to you"

And that is only possible when we are receptive to hear from him.

Our surety in the decisions we take stems from our willingness to let God speak to us and also the ability to know that it is God and stick with it even when surrounded with oppositions.

I'll encourage that we pray and ask God to speak to us in a way we cannot deny, in a way that we know, individually, that this is God.

Firstly, we need to constantly work out our salvation and strive to act on what he tells us whether it is according to what we see as right or not.

Why do most Christians live blatantly outside Christ’s lifestyle?

Victorious: Most Christians live blatantly outside the will of God because we see Christianity as a religion, a title and not a lifestyle.

It is very easy to dish out how Christians should live in accordance with the word of God but not how it is our lifestyle in Christ.

Self-will, lies, deceit, malice, tarnishing of one's image, greed and so on, all these are so rampant in Christians because we see Christianity as a religion we have to proclaim according to but not to live by.

Why is there is no love amongst the flock of Christ?

Victorious: There's no love amongst the flock of Christ because there's no acceptance of ourselves as one.

We condemn, criticize and tear apart when we should pray, encourage, follow up, and love one another as unto the Lord.

And that is why we are frequently tagged as hypocrites, because we claim to love and care but don't act it.

We want to love on our own terms while proclaiming and preaching God's terms.

Jesus Christ preached love and acted in love, not preached love and acted out of his own conceit.

It is perceived that there is no love in the flock of Christ because we want to serve God in our own conceit and not in his dictate.

We all falter and have our shortcomings and what baffles me is how we are easy to condemn another because of the same things we are guilty of.

Fostering love in the flock of Christ begins with us understanding that we are the body of Christ and we need one another.

Not the perfection of a person or the check list the person seems to fit into what we in our minds consider as the ideal christian way of living, but we truly understanding the life Christ lived and knowing that we, as a whole, make up the body of Christ.

Contribution:

When it comes to showing love to one another and more importantly to those who haven't known Christ, we tend to shy away.

Like for example, we should keep up with the welfare of our members.

When someone is absent from church, we should reach out to them and all.

Victorious: you know Ishioma, we tend to conclude on how a person behaves than communicate with that person or reach out to that person.

We fail to resonate with our fellow christian state of mind by communicating with that believer but we easily conclude that a believer is this or that without trying to understand that believer through communication and prayers.

So we should learn how to leave our sentiments, perceptions and opinions aside and do the work that Christ has sent us which is to love one another.

John 15:12 "This is my commandment,  That ye love one another, as I have loved you."

John 13:34-35 "A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another."

Why are many professing Christians of our day not walking in power like did the early christians?

Victorious: One thing I have learnt from the early Christians is that they sought to live for Christ, ready to make sacrifices, ready to lay it all at His feet.

In respect to the question asked: because we want to walk in power while walking in our flesh, in our understanding, in our ways.

We don't want to sacrifice for the kingdom.

It's as simple as wanting the physique of an athlete without putting in the work that an athlete puts in to get the physique.

Writing in about AD 125, Aristedes, a Christian philosopher looked at the believers of his day and said: "They walk in all humility and kindness, and falsehood is not found among them, and they love one another. They despise not the widow, and grieve not the orphan. He that hath distributeth liberally to him that hath not. If they see a stranger they bring him under their roof, and rejoice over him, as it were their own brother: for they call themselves brethren, not after the flesh, but after the Spirit and in God; but when one of their poor passes away from the world, and any of them see him, then he provides for his burial according to his ability; and if they hear that any of their number is imprisoned or oppressed for the name of their Messiah, all of them provide for his needs, and if it is possible he may be delivered, they deliver him. And if there is a man among them that is poor and needy, and they have not among them an abundance of necessaries, they fast two or three days that they may supply the needy with their necessary food."

Is there any distinct difference between Christians and people of the world?
Do you truly have personal relationship with God? If yes, what are the elements of your true fellowship with Christ? Be sincere

Ishioma: The difference between christians and people of the world is the spirit of God.

The spirit of God in a man is what differentiates him from the world.

It is that spirit that guides and leads his way.

His personality is Christ-like.

When something worldly doesn't agree with God's spirit in a man, he ministers it to the man by speaking to him.

Victorious: Yes, I do have a personal relationship with God.

I love to breakdown words that seem so grammatical.

Elements can also be simplified as an essential or characteristic part of something abstract.

The elements of my fellowship with Christ is Him as the Head.

I as a member of the family he has called me into(Church).

His Spirit within me and the Life of Christ that I profess.

The surrendered woman(wife): how practical in the modern world of gender equality advocacy?

Victorious: Laura Doyle wrote the book called The Surrendered Wife, and it talks about how to submit to your husband as a woman.

She talked of her own struggles and gave ideas on how to let your husband indeed be the leader and in doing that, it foster intimacy, love and a bond between the couple.

A lot of great insight was passed on in the book.

In respect to the question asked: it isn't quite practical in our modern world of gender equality advocacy but it can be.

Have you noticed that the more you push to be understood without understanding the other person only brings confusion and separation?

We want to be understood by the opposite sex but we fail to understand that they also want to be understood.

As Christians, we don't follow the worldview on relationship or marriage.

We have our standard and it is in Christ, so yes, The Surrendered Wife as portrayed by Laura Doyle is possible if we look through what God says about marriage and not what the world goes by.

If we did things according to the worldview, then Jesus Christ shouldn't have died for us in the first place because he was blameless and without sin.

And that's all for today!!!

We learn together and grow together, please do well to comment and enlighten us all.

I and Onah Ishioma would be delighted to go through the comments sent by ya'll.

More questions rolled in and we will be taking that in the next post.

Stay posted.
