Never A Spilt Milk.

Image
It's easy to identify spilt milk, why?    Because it spilt.    It's wasted.    No one takes out their time to pour back spilt milk.    My point exactly.    Why do we see our lives as spilt milk, wasted efforts?    Wasted time.    It feels normal now for people to expect certain things for people or themselves at certain age or period.     Yes, we make wrong decisions and make mistakes.    But with God, no minute is wasted.     Life lessons build and strengthen.    It can also lessen and reduce whoever refuses to keep ploughing.    Yes, you didn't get married at the ideal age. (set by men and not by God)    Yes, you didn't get jobs lined up waiting for you to take your pick.    Yes, you didn't get feedback from that company even with all the qualifications you had.    Yes, you're in want of things.    Yes, ...

UnLearn

Image
Unlearn beliefs.  Embrace truth.  Unlearn words.  Embrace intentions.  Unlearn conditions.  Embrace selflessness.  Unlearn religion.  Embrace Christ.  Unlearn sentiments.  Embrace unconditional love.  Unlearn complaints.  Embrace prayer.  Unlearn sadness.  Embrace joy that surpasses a situation.   Unlearn to focus on a problem.  Embrace focusing on Christ who is bigger than your problem.  Unlearn self.  Embrace being the salt of the earth.  Unlearn pleasing men.  Embrace pleasing God.    Unlearn dwelling on the past.  Embrace focusing on God.  Unlearn worrying over the new week and the plans you've made.     Embrace trusting God that He is faithful to see you through, not just this week, but a lifetime. As we go through the week,  let's unlearn our understanding  and be willing to embrace acknowledging God and watch Him as He directs our paths....

Gracias, gracias mi Jesus

Psalm 7:17 "I will give thanks to the Lord because of his righteousness; I will sing  the praise of the name of the Lord Most High." Praising God for who He is, is something we rarely do. We praise Him for what He has done. We praise Him for what He is about to do. We praise Him for our heart desires. We recount what He has done for us and use that as a yardstick to hope on Him for more. Simply take out time to praise God for who He is. Praise Him for He is the King of kings. The Lord of lords.  Ubangiji (The Supreme Being.) Ebube Dike (Strong and Powerful God.) Arugbo Ojo (Ancient of Days.) Abasi Afid Abuk (God of All Flesh.) Osanobua (The one who carries and sustains the world.) Oghene (The Almighty God.) El Infinito Dios (The infinite God.) It's beautiful to seek Him for our heart desires. He is readily available to answer us. Nevertheless, let us also really dwell on who He is and praise His name. Simply praising and thanking Him for who He is to us. Psalm 106:1 ...

Rusty

Image
I could say that "I've been busy." Even add the usual slang "life happened." Life keeps happening. And it will never stop happening. A lot has happened. A lot will happen. In it all, "we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose." Romans 8:28 The excuse that life is happening just translates to us looking for conducive and factual ways of saying that there is no time to plunge into the expression of our God-given gifts. Basically looking for soothing way to calm our minds and hearts for being unprofitable in the Kingdom of God. Our rustiness dampens our effectiveness, consistency and zeal to daily live out His word. A lot has happened. A lot will happen. Don't stay rusty.  Get up and be resilient, unshaken, strong, tactful and you will surmount all odds "because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world." 1st John 4:4

ABEJOYE

Image
It is noteworthy when we are reminded about the power of God by amazing movies that have been put together by believers. Abejoye is an exemplary movie. It makes you reverence and also keeps you in awe of God's magnificent power. The movie is in four seasons that comprises of parts for each season. The parts in each season has its own powerful message. The movie is a mixture of modern and local setting. It reveals that God'spower can work in all places, be it in the village, city or even another country entirely. It centres around the life of an aged kingmaker and his encounter in Christ. The lesson I learnt from watching the movie is that the life we profess should be seen and evident in us through our conduct, speech and in all things. Matt 5:13-16 "You are the salt of the earth; but if salt has lost its taste, how can its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything, but is thrown out and trampled under foot. You are the light of the world.  A city built on ...

Popcorn? Maybe Rice and stew with fish and the family.

Image
It's a beautiful day that the Lord has made and we definitely rejoice and are glad in it.  We love to just relax after a wonderful service and spend some quality time with our families eating mostly rice and stew with fish, egg, pomo, chicken etc. Picking an amazing movie also helps.  It's calming to get that movie that not only entertains but teaches you and makes you want to do better as a believer. I'm here to help!  1 Come Sunday is about a fundamentalist preacher Carlton Pearson, his crisis of faith sets him on a spiritual path that jeopardises  everything he holds dear.    2 Jalen's father is in prison, Jalen is the main focus of the movie and how he is listed into the Los Angeles drug world.  The power of prayer is what prevents Jalen from following his father's footsteps.  A lady he meets in church shows him that life offers other ways through God. 3 When conflict, rebellion and resentment overwhelm their family, the couple are forced to c...

Seek Him Early.

Image
It's been quite a year.  A year that we didn't envision going through all that we've gone through, not just as a country, but also globally. A year that we were made to face the obvious reality; that indeed God is everything.  It is important to seek Him early and trust in Him as the year comes to an end. “O GOD, You are my God; Early will I seek You” (Psalm 63:1a, NKJV) He is the reason we are able to wake up each morning and He is the reason we are able to go to bed. He is the reason for it all. So as we go through November and the month to come in joy, favour, love, laughter and breakthroughs all around. Let's do well to remember that He is the reason for the blessings. Seek Him early, rejoice in His faithfulness and most importantly, let the world see that He is the reason for it all as you profess and preach Jesus Christ with every opportunity you get. Happy birthday to one of my aunties, also my mummy, Dr. Mrs Ahuose Eghonghon. Thank you for always celebrating me ...
