FRUITS

Shade 'lived her life for Christ'.

Oh she never missed a service.

She was never found in a club, neither found in an 'ungodly' environment.

Everyone identified her as 'Godkissed and given to the word'.

Pastor Femi knew that this lady was to be ordained, c'mon why not?

She was a tongue speaking, hair covering, church going, service attending Child of God.

The Identity that's given to you on earth is no where compared to how God identifies you.

Activities and Service to God are two very separate things.

We engage in activities rather than render service to God when we feel that it is just the physical things seen by the physical eyes that count.

Fruits are meant to yield more because we are trees.

Psalm 1:3; NLT; They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do.

Our Service is what reaches the Heart of God and not the activities we put up for the world to see.

Activities are what we exchange for our Service when we start seeking man's approval and self.

Proverbs 11:30; The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, And he who is wise wins souls.

We are meant to win souls.

We are meant to give to others what Christ freely gave to us.

We are meant to use every opportunity we get to win a soul for Christ.

A Tree does not have to say "oh I'm succulent, take me".

People know a tree that is fruitful from the fruits it bears.

We don't have to introduce ourselves as Christians before the World sees that.

Our service to God shows that.

Our Character and way of life proves that.

Shade was doing things in the sight of men, but she had no fruits to show, everyone knew she was up and doing in church, but it doesn't end there.

We need to be up and doing in the things of God but we should also still have our focus aimed on God and not self.

God isn't moved by activities.

He's moved by a willing and contrite spirit, someone who does service in honour of God and not for the applause of men.

Psalm 51:17;ISV; True sacrifice to God is a broken spirit. A broken and chastened heart, God, You will not despise.

It is natural for us to seek the praises or approval of men sometimes.

The flesh in us reminds us that we didn't receive any kudos for single-handedly setting up the sound equipment in church, or repeatedly being the first to come to church.

No word from the pastorate or group leaders.

The fact that we have been reaching out; winnings souls.

We have been checking up on members and doing active follow-up.

These things, the Good Lord sees and rewards.

When you begin to see your service life through God's lenses.

You will see the true state of your tree.
