COMPLACENCY
We, most times, think that serving God has an ending.
Like a point where we say "okay God, I've done it all," and then we begin to live our lives in a pattern that we 'think' is according to God's will.
Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:13-14, ESV)
Lot of Christians live their lives in complacency.
Feeling that they've done all that they can, and decide to intertwine the things of God with desires of the flesh.
We get rustic, and loose the main focus which is winning more souls to God's kingdom.
We can't afford to get complacent in God's vineyard, and it's only possible when we seek God's help.
We're all humans and we have our shortcomings, but what keeps us constantly hungry and thirsty for His Word and to do His Will is if we are connected to Him.
We are meant to be freshly renewed each day, doing more, conquering and possessing more grounds.
Being complacent in the kingdom isn't moving grounds for God.
We can't afford to feel like we have done all that there is to do in the kingdom; preached, won souls, healed the sick e.t.c.
Once we start feeling like we don't need to do more, or be under teachings or study the word again because we feel that we know all there is to know about his word, we begin to sink, we begin to drift, we begin to grow far apart from God.
We cannot afford to be complacent as God's own.
Beautiful and inspiring...as always. God bless you
