FAMILY
What do you understand by a family.
I guess your reply would be a man and wife and children, that's also correct.
Nevertheless, a family is also the church.
We are all in one family which has God as the Head and the leaders, apostles, ministers etc as the mother, and we as the children.
Just as the children listen to the father and mother and obey their instructions, we are as children to God are meant to obey and practice His Word.
The pastors, leaders, etc are ordained by God to direct us, correct us and lead us into a state of complete surrender unto God.
Every sector/group in church holds a family, i.e (the choir, ushers, protocol, etc).
Our interaction with others in the body of Christ reveals our composition towards being a family.
Respect, love and sincere prayer for one another also shows how much we as believers love one another.
Hate and dispute shouldn't be found in our family, which is, the body of Christ.
As humans, we offend one another, just the same way our siblings offend us and we also offend them.
When there are issues arising in the family, it's being taken care of and the partakers are being reconciled.
As believers, forgiveness should precede offense, which means we should readily forgive our 'siblings' in Christ and this can truly only be done when we have a true and clear understanding of who God is.
Eph 4:32; And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
Gal 3:26-28; For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
Treat everyone in the body of Christ in the manner that you would want others to treat you, because as the Bible says "we are all one in Christ Jesus".
